Denali National Park’s diversity lends itself to several premium tours - from incredible wildlife tours through the rugged Denali wilderness to exhilarating white-water rafting and kayaking adventures to getting up close and personal with Mt. McKinley in a fixed-wing plane or a helicopter. The Park offers something for all travelers.

Kantishna Wilderness Trails TourKantishna Day Tour
A full-day, narrated, motorcoach trip into the Park (95 miles one-way). A hot lunch at the historic Roadhouse is included. Tour departs from the East end of the Park at approximately 6:30 am and returns at approximately 7:30 pm.
Schedule: Daily

Natural History Tour
A narrated 3-hour bus tour into the Park. Light snack and beverage are included.

Schedule: Three departures daily: 7-8:30 am, 11 am to 12:30 pm, and 4:30-5:30 pm.
Note: The early morning tour WILL get you back in time to catch the south-bound train to Anchorage.

Tundra Wildlife Tour
Bears in DenaliA narrated 6 to 8 hour tour, approximately 60 miles into the Park. Includes a snack box and beverage. Book this tour early as sometimes space is not available once the operating season begins.

Schedule: Departs daily. Morning tours depart between 5:30 and 7:30 am; afternoon tour departs between 1:30 and 3:30 pm.
Note: The morning tour will NOT get you back in time to catch the south-bound train to Anchorage.

Shuttle Bus System
A transportation system into the Park. Private vehicles are prohibited into the Park beyond Mile 12. Advance reservations for the shuttle bus seats should be made by calling 1-800-622-7275 (PARK) or you may come to the Visitor Center here at Denali between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm to make reservations up to two days in advance on a space available basis.

Fly Over the MountainsFlightseeing
About 70 minutes: fly over McKinley's glaciers and along its towering North Face, the greatest vertical relief on any continental mountain in the world.
Schedule: Departs daily, every even hour 8am to 8pm.

Helicopter Tours
A breathtaking 50 minute narrated tour.
Schedule: Departs daily, every hour 8am to 8pm.

Horseback Riding
Fully outfitted horseback adventures throughout the beautiful Alaska Range. Trips vary: 1 to 2 hour rides.
